Step 1: Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard

Go to
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin -
Enter your username and password
Step 2: Open the WP Recipe Maker Panel

In the left-hand menu, click WP Recipe Maker

Choose Recipes > Add New
Step 3: Fill in Your Recipe Details
1. Recipe Name
-
Enter the title of your recipe (e.g. Grandma’s Apple Pie)
2. Recipe Summary (Optional)
-
A short description about the recipe, what makes it special, etc.
3. Servings
-
Set how many servings the recipe makes (e.g. 4, 8, etc.)
4. Prep Time, Cook Time, Total Time
-
Add the time (in minutes/hours) for each
Step 4: Add Ingredients

Scroll down to the Ingredients section
-
Click Add Group if you want to group ingredients (e.g. "Filling" and "Crust")

Use Add Ingredient to input each item one by one
Example:1 cup sugar,2 eggs,1 tsp cinnamon
Step 5: Add Instructions

Scroll to the Instructions section
-
Use Add Group for steps like “Prep,” “Cooking,” etc. (optional)

Use Add Instruction to add steps in order
Example:Preheat oven to 350°F,Mix dry ingredients
Step 6: Add Images (Optional but Recommended)

Scroll to the Recipe Image section

Click Set Image to upload or select a featured image of your dish
Step 7: Customize Other Sections (Optional)

Equipment: Add tools like mixers, baking pans, etc.

Notes: Include variations, tips, or storage suggestions

Nutrition: Add calories and macros if you want (manual or automatic with Pro)
Step 8: Insert the Recipe into a Post/Page
After saving the recipe:
Method 1: Use the WP Block Editor

Go to Posts > Add New (or edit an existing post)

Click the + and add the WP Recipe Maker block

Select your recipe from the dropdown
Method 2: Use the Shortcode
-
Copy the shortcode from the recipe screen (looks like
[wprm-recipe id="123"]) -
Paste it into any post or page where you want the recipe to appear
Step 9: Publish!

Once your post or page is ready, click Publish (or Update if you're editing)
-
Your recipe is now live and beautifully displayed!
Tips:
-
You can always edit recipes later from the WP Recipe Maker > Recipes list
-
Upgrade to Pro for features like adjustable servings, nutrition labels, and more
-
You can reuse a recipe in multiple posts/pages!
